Australian Diabetes Council is a member-based, charitable organisation with over 63,000 members. Our member base consists of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes and health professionals, in both metropolitan and rural areas and of all age ranges.
Our organisation receives requests from researchers to assist them to find suitable subjects to participate in their projects. Each request for scientific research is assessed by our Research Advisory Committee (RAC), which comprises of two medical doctors, two Australian Diabetes Council staff members and a consumer representative. All other requests are assessed by our Research and Development Manager.
