Research Introduction

Australian Diabetes Council receives many requests from universities, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies to assist in the recruitment of volunteers for scientific and market research. These researchers would like to contact members to invite them to participate in research studies. We screen all requests for volunteers through our Research Advisory Committee and only contact members who have indicated they are happy to be involved.

You can join a research program by taking part in a clinical trial. A trial might be the only way to obtain a new cutting-edge drug or procedure, and patients on trials often receive free expert advice about taking care of their diabetes. There is also the satisfaction of knowing that because of your efforts, we will come to understand our common challenge just a little bit better, and you will have contributed in a real way to making diabetes a thing of the past.
