Awareness Campaigns

Awareness of diabetes is a vital part of prevention and management.

Awareness means knowing the risk factors for developing type 2 diabetes, what leads to long-term complications, how type 2 can be prevented and what you can do to lead a long and fulfilling life.

Over the years, a number of campaigns have been run by Australian Diabetes Council as part of Diabetes Awareness Week, held every July.

The campaigns take a different theme each year but all highlight the importance of prevention and good management.
